Khan - and yet another wasted vote
Feb 1st, 2010, 1:06pm

The current City Council members must   L O V E  these distraction candidates.   In a very real sense, these distraction nominees are some of the best friends the incumbants have.  But, a  vote for Kahn is a vote against incumbency.

How is it that BOTH of  these statements can be true ?

See, all you have to do is answer the question "What are Kahn's chances of winning ?" - - - which, in and of itself is politically incorrect.  People will shout all kinds of nasty things as soon as you go down this path. . . . and perhaps, some simply stop thinking right there . . . . this IS America - right ?

But - it's pretty simple - -

Since Kahn is so unlikely to garner a winning total of votes, and since incumbents know with pretty good precision the electorate they can count on - - - the presence of Kahn along with that of many other well-intentioned nominees simply fragments the anti-incumbency vote across multiple candidate lines.

THE MORE, THE MERRIER !!!!

I know this will be taken the wrong way but I watched the debates last year and I couldn't understand a word Mr. Kahn said. I'm sure he is a very intelligent person but I really had a hard time trying to understand him

You are right, Big T.

Like you, I was unable to understand much of what Fazlur was saying.

....as if on cue, one of the most outspoken fans of Fremont City Hall (and current council door stops) - commends Fazlur for "pushing his positive image" - - - - see post #5

Incumbancy working to lend any  dose of credibility to the Fazlur reputation . . .

Anybody that watched him during the last City Council debate would have come away scratching their heads . . . . unfortunatly, a lot of people will vote solely on a position of anti-incumbancy generalizations and looking only at a name . . . . without knowing anything about the candidate.

Net, net - Khan ends up being a "spoiler" for the anti-incumbancy vote.  As does Susoev, Thamasbi, and Shah and myriad others.

These same folks would concede and align behind the one or two most probable candidates IF THEY SAW INCUMBANCY AS THE PROBLEM . . . .   if they favor incumbants - -  they stay in the race !
